The organizing theme of this seminar is to examine some modern ways of looking at spaces with symmetry, including stacks (algebraic geometry, homotopy theory), Lie groupoids (differential geometry), and C*-algebras (noncommutative geometry).

By default, the seminar is at 11:30 on Fridays. Talks, past and upcoming:- Week 1: Jeffrey Morton, "Topological and Lie Groupoids, With Relations to C*-Algebras and Stacks" (notes). Introduces the characters.
